Support My Journey to Gender Affirmation

Donation protected
I have been nonbinary my entire life, no question. I realized it and told my mom and a very small number of friends in high school. I found the language and came out with they/them pronouns in 2021. I realized how difficult a time people were having with it so I went right back in the closet with my pronouns and presented as she/they, mostly for the convenience of others, not a reflection of my true being.

When I was 19, I knew I wanted top surgery to remove my chest. And it has taken until now, yes nearly 16 years later, to muster up the confidence to do something about it. Puberty was hell for me. My chest has never felt like a part of me and has caused a lot of self-hate towards my body. I am confident that this is what I want to do, what I need to do, to finally feel at home in my body.

Unfortunately, my work insurance covers absolutely zero gender-affirming care, meaning that the cost of the surgery will be entirely out of pocket. With which an expensive surgery, I’m asking for any help I can get. This is definitely not a cheap procedure.

Thank you!
