Help Me Study Hospitality Abroad in Europe!

Hi, my name is Raquel, and I’m a Hospitality Administration and Business Analytics student at Georgia State University. I’ve been selected to participate in a competitive study abroad program called the European Hospitality Experience, a Maymester course taking place in France, Monaco, and Spain this May 2025.

This is my first time leaving the country, and it’s more than just a trip — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to explore world-class hospitality businesses, deepen my education, and gain the global experience I need to grow my career in food, beverage, and luxury consulting.

Why The Trip Matters!

Throughout the 12-day program, I’ll have the opportunity to:

Tour and analyze iconic European hotels and restaurants

Learn about international sustainability practices and brand management

Engage with global hospitality leaders and observe what’s working abroad

Apply everything I’ve learned to my business, Aphrodite’s Table, a consulting concept I’m building that focuses on immersive, high-end food and beverage experiences

As a first-generation student and a single mom who returned to school to pursue a better future, this experience is deeply personal. It represents not only my dedication to the hospitality industry but also my belief that representation and creativity matter in luxury spaces.

What I Need Help With!

I’ve already applied to numerous scholarships and secured partial funding. I was recently awarded the Rama Scholarship for the American Dream from the AHLA Foundation — a huge honor and a reminder that I’m on the right path.

Unfortunately, the scholarship can only be applied toward Fall 2025 expenses and cannot be used for this study abroad program, which is why I’m turning to my community now.

After months of planning and preparation, I’m doing everything I can to avoid having to withdraw. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to keeping this opportunity alive. My deadline to submit funds is May 12th, so I’m working quickly to raise what I can before then.

I’m working hard to raise the final amount so I don’t have to withdraw from this program that I’ve spent months preparing for. Every donation, large or small, brings me closer to this goal. If you’re not able to give, sharing this campaign with others is just as meaningful.
