Support My Journey to Finishing Recovery

I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to my previous campaign. Unfortunately, I have not had an easy road to recovery and still have a long way to go. I am asking for support to help me through the last of my healing process.

When I first got injured, I was improperly cared for by the hospital. My progress plateaued and now I am going backwards. I left the hospital with broken bones and tears. Since then I have found new doctors and I am optimistic this will put me in a better position!

As of now, I am still going through several surgeries and am completely disabled. I’ve applied for disability and food assistance and I’m hoping that will start soon! I am in need of any help with my medical bills and living expenses.

My most recent surgery was this past Friday on my hand and I’ve already received a bill for $2100. Sadly, I went days on my own without having use of my left arm. This upcoming week, I will be receiving more leg surgeries due to meniscus tears, knee sprains, acl/mcl strains and a misaligned leg.

It has been a long 10 months and I’ve been seeing doctors non stop 2-3x a week or more for my healing. I have copays every time or full payments not covered by insurance because of the type of injury. The physical therapy on my jaw alone was not covered by insurance and was $175 per visit.

I attempted to work from December to June but was limited to hours due to lack of abilities, pain/swelling, and doctor visits. I feel judged because people don’t realize I am disabled (when they see me walking) but I can only go for a short distance, can’t sit down or stand up on my own without using my hands, can’t stand for long periods of time, can’t get up and down from the ground on my own nor squat.

My goal is to have the surgeries and go to a rehabilitation facility to continue to heal. I would love to gain the weight back that I have lost due to the financial, mental and physical struggles I am experiencing.
