Support my journey to aid my mother

As many of my friends and family know, I haven’t had a full time job since the beginning of this year and have been on the hunt. Friends recently donated money to help toward veterinary care for a sick dog that I fostered a few months ago, which was a lifesaver and that sweet girl is now living her best life.

But when it rains, it pours, right? I found out yesterday that my mother is in poor health and is in a very vulnerable situation as a result. I just found out that she had been in the hospital and rehabs since February, and she just got home. She is having moments of confusion and breaks from reality, along with being weak/frail, and possibly having suffered a stroke. To top it off, a person in her life whom I suspect of elder abuse took her to the bank today to make a cash withdrawal. So many important things need to be dealt with, like lawyer appointments, doctor’s appointments, bank business, etc, that I can’t deal with from afar. I need to go to New Mexico immediately to help her. This will require a little chunk of money that I don’t have. Between travel expenses, pet boarding/pet sitting, the daily costs involved when traveling, and simultaneously keeping things afloat at home, it adds up quickly.

I am planning to leave for New Mexico this Sunday, if I can swing it. If you’re feeling generous and would like to contribute towards helping to make this happen, it would be very much appreciated! My family, two and four legged alike, all thank you. ❤️
