Support My Journey: Bottom Surgery & Recovery

Hi, I need your help. I need your help with gender care. I need your help keeping centered and social, and I need your help making sure I keep pushing my limits kayaking. But most importantly, I am going to need your help financially as I approach bottom surgery this fall.

I've started this GoFundMe campaign to help fund the three months I'll be out of work after bottom surgery, tentatively planned for late September 2025. Peritoneal Pull-Through Vaginoplasty is a very serious surgery that comes with a minimum 3-5 day hospital stay and 3-month recovery time during which I'll be unable to work. Despite working in a gender care practice that is extremely supportive, it will still be a significant financial burden as insurance doesn't cover expenses during recovery, and I don't have 3 months of paid sick leave to rely on.

I've asked a lot of my network of friends the last few years, and it's hard to ask again for your help. It's an uncomfortable place to be, feeling on the brink of so much personal success while also aware of how precarious it all is. But I'm embracing that discomfort and asking for help.
