I am beyond excited to announce that I have been accepted into a once-in-a-lifetime filmmaking program in the Azores Islands, Portugal, under the mentorship of master filmmaker Werner Herzog! Out of 272 applicants from over 43 countries, I am honored to be one of only 50 filmmakers selected for this unique opportunity. For over 11 days, I will be working on a new short film under the guidance of Werner Herzog. The program itself required a steep investment, which used all of my savings, but I know this experience will be invaluable for my growth as a Writer/Director. Learning from one of the greatest minds in cinema will play a pivotal role in shaping who I am as a filmmaker, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to participate.
The funds raised will go directly toward covering my travel expenses to and from the Azores, the cost of bringing my own film equipment (as all participants are providing their own tools), and living expenses as I navigate the logistics of staying before and after the workshop. Every contribution will make a meaningful difference, allowing me to focus on my craft and make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
