Never ignore your body—I learned that the hard way.

For a long time, I pushed through everything. I stayed focused on work and life, never slowing down enough to really listen to what my body was trying to tell me. Last week, everything finally caught up to me.

My blood pressure became dangerously high and caused an artery in my sinuses to rupture. This led to severe and terrifying nosebleeds, where I was losing between 350 to 600 mL of blood at a time. It was overwhelming and scary, and I knew something was seriously wrong.

I was admitted to the emergency room, where doctors worked quickly to stabilize me. I had four balloons inserted into my sinuses to help control the bleeding and was placed on intensive medications under close monitoring. Late Saturday, things escalated, and I was rushed into surgery. Doctors had to open my sinus canal and cauterize the artery to stop the bleeding. I had lost so much blood since 4/2 that I have been on a blood transfusion watch. As of 4/8 my HGB is 7.7 So my body is healing and producing but at any moment I can go back on a transfusion alert.

After spending 3 more days in the hospital, I’m finally home, resting in my own bed. While I’m grateful to be recovering, I still have a long road ahead. I’m currently on multiple medications and need to focus fully on healing.

I’m not asking for much—just a little support to help me get through these past two weeks and the upcoming week of recovery. I’ve always worked hard and will continue to do so, but missing three weeks of work has put me in a difficult financial position.

Any support will go directly toward basic needs like rent, bills, food, and medication so I can focus on getting better without the added stress.
