In the summer of 2022, I joined a 2-week mission trip to Northern Philadelphia, serving in one of the most challenging neighborhoods in the country. Cleaning up parks and sidewalks, I saw firsthand how small acts of service could uplift a community. The following week, I worked as a counselor at Camp Miracles, connecting with local kids whose excitement and gratitude left a lasting impression on me. Saying goodbye was tough, and it made me realize how much I wanted to keep serving others and make a difference in their lives. In 2023, I joined another mission trip to Hawaii, where my group and I embraced the spirit of Ohana. We restored a fish pond's ecosystem, wrapped gifts for families in need, and spent time caring for children in a transition shelter. Despite their challenges, the kids radiated joy and resilience, inspiring me to focus my future on helping children and diverse communities. These experiences deepened my desire to pursue a career in nursing, where I can provide care and support to those who need it most. That is why I want to go to Ghana. When I heard I get to work with Health 2 Go, an amazing partnership that helps villages across Ghana get the health care they need, I was amazed. I know this trip will not only grow my knowledge in health care globally but also grow my passion to be a nurse and possibly travel the world as a nurse for people in need. I know I am called to a life of serving different communities around the world. Now, as a sophomore in college, I am saving up to travel outside the country to serve. I know my future is bright, and I am grateful to have found God and committed my life to helping others. Any support you can give means the world to me as I take this next step. Thank you for believing in me and helping make this dream a reality! For more information about my trip visit this link-Summer Semester in Ghana and Oxford
