My girlfriend, who I hope to soon call my fiance, and I have been together for eight years. We never imagined that a routine trip to the emergency room for stomach pain would turn our world upside down. After a series of tests, doctors discovered a large tumor, and she was immediately rushed into surgery. Hearing the word 'cancer' has left us both in shock, and the uncertainty of what comes next is overwhelming.
