My experience with gender affirming care has been more tumultuous than I expected when I began this journey. I’m asking for my community’s support to help me get the care and recovery I need.

After multiple surgeries and revision, careless doctors left me feeling like an experiment, not a patient with individual needs and desires. After much reflection, I realized that paying out of pocket for this surgery is the best way to avoid another unsuccessful procedure and a brutal recovery with no results.

This time, I chose a doctor in who is known for consistent results with gender affirming body contouring. My body type cannot undergo the procedures covered by insurance, so I am forced to turn toward these pathways toward comprehensive care. The funds will support my remaining medical fees, travel, and recovery expenses.

This surgery will grant me relief from body dysphoria and help my spirit feel more closely aligned with my body, as it is meant to be.
