Support My Friend’s Recovery & Housing Needs

My friend is a compassionate and selfless person I've known for over 20 years. For the past year and seven months, she has endured debilitating back pain that has left her unable to maintain her basic needs. She has been in and out of the ER more than 10 times, with some visits resulting in hospital stays and nine outpatient surgical procedures to address her chronic pain. Recently, she underwent what we hope will be the final major surgery to help her return to a normal life.

In the midst of these health challenges, she was exposed to toxic mold in her apartment, forcing her to move not once, but three times in just one month. The instability, stress, and unexpected expenses have completely drained her finances. She is now in a new place but is facing eviction and urgently needs help with rent, utilities, food, and medical expenses while she recovers from surgery. Despite all of this, she managed to complete her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, showing incredible resilience and determination. Even with finishing her degree, she will not have income for at least four months, so she needs financial help to cover basic needs during this transition.

My friend is also a survivor of domestic violence and has become a strong advocate for women who have experienced similar trauma. Through her lived experience, her heart is to give back and help others live out their purpose. Even while dealing with her own health issues, she recently helped another friend facing acute illness by preparing food for seven days, so that friend could focus on healing. Anyone who knows my friend knows she is the kind of person who shows up for others without hesitation, giving from her heart even when she has little herself. Today, she needs the kindness of others to show up for her. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help her cover housing expenses and basic necessities, providing some stability while she heals and prepares for her new career. Thank you for helping to surround her with love, compassion, and practical support during this incredibly difficult time. God bless every giver.
