Support My Friend After Flood Loss
Donation protected
Hi friends, I’m setting up a GoFundMe for one of my best friends who really needs some community support.
During the latest 100-year flood we had in Lafayette, she was pulled out of her van by a Good Samaritan while the floodwaters claimed it. Thank God she survived the ordeal, but the family van did not.
Anything helps, this is so important for the children.

Help Our Family Replace Our Van After Devastating Flood
Story:
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
Our family has recently been struck by an unimaginable disaster. A 100-year flood hit our community, and sadly, our beloved family van was completely destroyed in the waters. This van was not just a vehicle for us – it was our lifeline. As a family of six, it was essential for everything from school drop-offs and doctor appointments to grocery runs and work-related commutes.
The flood came quickly and left nothing behind. Our van, along with many other belongings, was submerged, and now we are left with no way to transport our family or meet our daily needs.
Why We Need Your Help:
With no vehicle, our family is struggling to get around and maintain our routine. Each member of our family is facing challenges, from getting to school to taking care of work and essential errands. We're doing our best to make ends meet, but the cost of replacing our van is more than we can handle at the moment.
That’s why we’ve set up this GoFundMe. We're reaching out to our community, hoping for your support in helping us get back on our feet. The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a replacement van and covering the necessary insurance and registration fees.
How Your Support Will Help:
• Vehicle replacement: A safe and reliable van to ensure we can transport our family and get back to work and school.
• Insurance and registration: We need to cover the essential paperwork and fees to make sure the new van is ready to go.
• Essential transportation: We need the van to handle day-to-day responsibilities, including medical appointments and transportation for our children.
A Thank You:
We understand times are tough for everyone, and we’re incredibly grateful for any support you can offer. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign with others, your kindness means the world to us. No donation is too small, and every bit helps us get closer to a solution.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering helping our family during this incredibly challenging time.
With gratitude,
Katie and Norris
