Recently I have hit a significant and unexpected hurdle that has put my livelihood and my career at risk. Due to an ongoing legal matter, I have already lost two weeks of wages, and the court process is proving to be a long road.

In November 2025 I was charged with alien smuggling by border patrol/ice because my friend/passenger of my vehicle was an undocumented immigrant.

With my case being rescheduled to March, I am facing even more unpaid time away from work. As many of you know, I am dedicated to my path in nursing, but these financial setbacks—and the potential impact on my professional licensing—have created a mountain that is getting harder to climb alone.
