I am facing one of the toughest battles of my life: colon cancer. I recently started chemotherapy, but the journey has been far from straightforward. There have been unexpected setbacks, like an intravenous medicine leaking into my arm, which caused burning, weakness, and a loss of mobility. The chemo pills, while attacking the cancer, are also harming my good cells and compromising my immune system. This has led to intense pain and left me spending much of my time in the bathroom, with both issues making it impossible for me to earn a living right now.


My main source of income during the winter is driving for Uber, but with my current health and mobility challenges, that's just not feasible. The treatment plan is to continue chemotherapy for a few months to shrink the tumor, followed by surgery and then a period of recovery. While most of my medical bills are covered unless I need to upgrade my surgeon, my biggest worry is covering my living expenses during this time. If I can't get more money coming in, I won't be able to finish chemo—and that would be a disaster.
