My father has always been a man of deep faith and love. After turning his life around, he made it his mission to share kindness and compassion with everyone he met. His greatest joy has always been his son, and he worked hard to give me the life he never had. In every room we entered, he made sure I felt protected and loved.

He believed that love is the best medicine, and he showed it through simple acts—especially by sharing food with anyone willing to join him. He never offered a drink or a smoke, but always a meal and a warm heart. Even now, as he faces stage 3 terminal cancer and kidney failure, he continues to comfort others and share his faith. He is the strongest person I know, and he makes sure everyone knows that God loves them.

As his health declines, my hope is to give him one last trip to the beach or mountains—places he always dreamed of visiting. I want him to know how many hearts he has touched and how deeply he is loved. The amount set for this fundraiser isn’t what we need, but it’s open enough for many people to support and show their love.
