At the start of this year, my father’s health declined rapidly. What doctors initially believed was anemia turned out to be far more serious.
On January 7th, just days after his birthday, he was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer).
While this diagnosis is devastating, his doctors remain optimistic. Renal cell carcinoma is the most common form of kidney cancer, and advances in modern treatment give us real reason to believe this fight is not over. My father will soon begin immunotherapy and targeted therapy to shrink the tumor in preparation for surgery.
The months ahead are critical. My father is unable to work, and the costs of treatment, travel, and daily living expenses are rapidly adding up. This is the moment where support matters most.
