Support My Father's Critical Recovery from Brain Strokes

Hello, my name is Yogita Tiwari, and I live in Canada. I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my father, who is currently fighting for his life in a hospital in India.

On March 30, 2025, my father suffered a brain hemorrhage and was immediately admitted to the hospital. He underwent emergency surgery to remove the clot. Tragically, he then suffered a second brain stroke, requiring a second procedure. Despite our hopes, his condition deteriorated, and due to bleeding in two separate areas, he underwent a another brain surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain.

After the third surgery, slipped into a coma. Due to prolonged unconsciousness and breathing difficulties, doctors recommended a tracheostomy. As of May 6, he has been in the hospital for 37 days, showing very slow recovery due to his age and pre-existing conditions — Parkinson’s disease and dystonia.

This situation has been emotionally and financially overwhelming for our family. The cost of intensive care, surgeries, and continuous treatment is growing rapidly, and we now urgently need financial support to continue providing the care my father needs. Without timely help, it will be extremely difficult to keep up with the mounting medical bills and ensure his ongoing treatment and recovery.

We are raising $30,000 CAD to help cover:

ICU and hospital stay costs

Multiple surgeries

Medications and specialist treatments and Diagnostic costs

Long-term rehabilitation and post-ICU care

As GoFundMe does not support fund withdrawals directly in India, I will be receiving the funds here in Canada and securely transferring them to my family in India to pay the medical bills.
