Salam all! My name is Mickaël, and I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Noor, who is facing an unimaginable crisis.

The situation is like this: The war on Gaza has swallowed everything people had. In the same time, they are required to pay astronomical fees ($5000) per person in order to be able to cross Rafah-Egypt border. The only way people can travel is through Hala for Travel and Tourism company, located in Egypt, which requires the mentioned amount.

This is Noor's heartfelt plea:

My name is Noor, and I am a 27-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. As I pursue my master's degree abroad, I had hoped to celebrate my academic achievements with my loved ones. Instead, I find myself consumed by fear and helplessness as my family's safety hangs in the balance.

I hesitated to create this campaign, clinging to the hope that the war on Gaza would cease, and a ceasefire would prevail. However, as the war enters its sixth month, I can no longer stay passive. The situation in Gaza City has deteriorated rapidly, leaving countless families, including mine, trapped in the crossfire. I cannot bear the thought of my family enduring another day of relentless war and uncertainty. With each passing moment, their lives are at risk, and the world seems to turn a blind eye to their suffering. It is with a heavy heart that I turn to you, seeking your support to evacuate my family from the war-torn streets of Gaza to safety.

We are a family of 11. My sister, Haya and I are studying abroad, while our parents and siblings are still in Gaza, enduring unimaginable pain and horror. This means that I’m raising this fund to evacuate 9 immediate family members.

My siblings: Zein, 15, Ibrahim, 12, and Muhammed, 16.

My youngest sister Ameera turned four just days before the war erupted. Ameera's innocent voice echoes in my mind as she eagerly awaits my return to give her the Mickey Mouse toy I promised her on her birthday. It breaks my heart to hear her ask, 'When will you come home and color with me?'

My father is a university lecturer, and my mother is a teacher as well. However, the war left them jobless and homeless, facing constant dangers for over five months now.

We had a big home in the city of Khanyounis. On December 2nd, they woke up to a very nearby bombing that caused our house to shake and they collected the shattered pieces of glass from their bodies and over their beds.

In the same week, the ground invasion of Khanyounis started and they had to evacuate and stay at a school to shelter in the west of the city to endure hard living conditions.

Call to Action:

As a last resort, my family has made the decision to escape the horrors of war by crossing the border to Egypt and try to either travel to stay with me or my sister in Turkey, if they could get the visas. However, the journey to safety comes at a steep price. As required by the Egyptian authorities, the exit permit costs $5,000 for each member, totaling $45,000.

Furthermore, with no stable income and basic necessities becoming scarce, my family requires an additional amount of money to cover the flight tickets, visas, and living expenses for at least four months for nine persons.

In addition to the amount needed for evacuation and living expenses, we must also account for transaction fees and logistical expenses. This includes GoFundMe's transaction fees of 2.9% + 0,25€ per donation and additional fees for transferring the funds securely to my account, and traveling to Egypt to pay the fees.

Therefore, the total Fundraising Goal: $66,300 (€60,600).

PS: I have entrusted my friend Mickael to organize this GoFundMe campaign on my behalf, as my current location is not supported by GoFundMe. Rest assured, once we reach our fundraising goal, he will facilitate the secure transfer of funds to my account.

كخطوة أخيرة، قررت عائلتي الخروج من رعب الحرب في غزة عن طريق عبور الحدود إلى مصر ومحاولة السفر بعد أكثر من 5 أشهر تحت نيران الحرب.

ولكن رحلة العبور إلى الأمان ثمنها مرتفع جداً، حيث تصل تكلفة الخروح إلى 5000 دولار للفرد، وهذا ما تتطلبه شركة هلا للسياحة والسفر.

عائلتي مكونة من 9 أفراد موجودون في غزة حالياً. وهذه الحملة هي محاولة الحصول على المبلغ اللازم لسفرهم من غزة.
