Support My Family Through Cancer Fight

We unfortunately lost my step dad on Friday. This news was sudden & unexpected. I ask you keep my mom and sister in your prayers.

Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d have to write this, but my family is facing an incredibly difficult time. My stepdad was just diagnosed with cancer, and everything changed overnight. He’s currently in the ICU, and we don’t know how much time we have left with him.

For the past 11 years, he has been the sole provider for their family, working hard to make sure my mom and my 19-year-old sister were taken care of. Just a year ago, they finally achieved their dream of buying a home together—a home they worked so hard for. Now, with him out of work and my mom by his side every day, the financial burden is overwhelming. On top of medical bills piling up, they are now faced with the fear of losing their home.

This Wednesday—his birthday—he has a crucial appointment that costs $500 alone, and that’s just one of many expenses ahead. The last thing my mom should have to worry about right now is how to afford his care and keep their home.
