I’m writing with deep concern and urgency to ask for your help. My family in Pipers Corner, Westmoreland, Jamaica, has been severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa, which tore through the community and left behind heartbreaking destruction.

Our family home was devastated—the entire roof was ripped off, and parts of the house were completely destroyed, making it unsafe and uninhabitable. Nearby, my cousin’s home was also completely demolished, leaving them without shelter or belongings. The emotional and physical toll has been overwhelming, and the road to recovery will be long and difficult.

We are raising funds to help our family:

This campaign is focused on helping our loved ones get back on their feet and restore a sense of stability and safety. Every donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward supporting our family’s recovery.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help. Your kindness and support mean the world to us during this incredibly difficult time.

With heartfelt thanks,

Racquel A. and Family
