In 2004, I joined a well-known independent girls’ school in London. Over nearly 20 years of dedication, hard work, and perseverance, I worked my way up from a school cleaner to Operations Manager. As a Polish national building a life and career in the UK, this was not an easy journey — but it was one I was truly proud of.
Unfortunately, my long service ended in circumstances that deeply affected my health. After becoming unwell due to issues connected with the workplace, I returned to work only to be informed that I was being made redundant in February 2024.
I have now spent almost two years fighting for fairness, and my Employment Tribunal hearing is scheduled for the end of January 2026 in Croydon. To stand a real chance, I need legal representation — but the costs are overwhelming. My solicitor’s fees are £380 per hour, and I must raise over £10,000 to cover the upcoming work needed to prepare and present my case properly.
While my former employer has extensive financial resources, I do not. Without professional support, my ability to defend myself is extremely limited.
This is why I am reaching out for help.
Whether you know me personally, have heard a little about my situation, or are a complete stranger, any donation — large or small — will make a real difference. Your support will help me stand up for my rights and seek justice after almost two decades of loyal service.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to read my story and for any support you are able to give.
