Hi, my name is Gianna Cruz, and I'm a freshman at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I've been honored with the opportunity to be one of only 20 students selected for a First-Year Abroad Experience program in Costa Rica over winter break. This incredible experience will allow me to explore a new culture, gain a global perspective, and grow both personally and academically. As a college student, opportunities like this are truly life changing and will help shape my future by expanding my worldview, enhancing my education, and building valuable leadership skills.
