Support My Dream of Getting a PhD at Syracuse
Donation protected
Hello, friends, family, and kind supporters,
I am thrilled to share that my dream of pursuing a Ph.D. in Disability Studies at Syracuse University is becoming a reality. This opportunity represents far more than just a personal goal for me; it's a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and advocate for inclusivity and accessibility on a broader scale.
My name is Ethan Jackson, and my love of Disability Studies developed when I participated in Peace Corps in 2011. For the first time, I saw disability from a context outside of an American K-12 program, and I started to wonder about disability globally and the lives of people with disabilities when services and opportunities are limited or nonexistent.
Syracuse University's Disability Studies program is renowned for its commitment to research, advocacy, and inclusivity. By studying here, I will have access to world-class faculty, resources, and opportunities to engage in groundbreaking research and community initiatives. This program aligns perfectly with my academic and professional goals, and I am eager to immerse myself in its rich learning environment.
While I did receive some financial support through Syracuse, achieving this dream comes with substantial financial challenges, including housing, research materials, and living expenses. As a prospective PhD student, I am seeking your support to make this journey possible. Your contribution, regardless of size, will directly impact my ability to pursue my studies with less financial burden.
Your donation will support:
- College/Administrative Fees
- Housing and living expenses
- Research materials and resources
- Travel for conferences and fieldwork
- Any unforeseen costs related to my education
Every dollar counts, and your generosity will not go unnoticed. Whether you can contribute financially or simply share my campaign with your network, your support means the world to me.
I am deeply grateful for your consideration and support as I embark on this exciting chapter of my academic journey. Together, we can make a difference in the field of Disability Studies and create a more inclusive and equitable world for all.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting my dreams!
