I'm raising funds for my daughter after she was struck by a vehicle while helping a stranger in distress after a hit and run. She spent 32 days in the hospital and went through two major surgeries after suffering a broken pelvis, hip, right femur, and left femur. What happened changed her life in an instant, and now she is facing a long recovery.

Because of these injuries, she can no longer attend her culinary arts program or work. She also had to surrender her apartment. On top of the physical pain, she is struggling emotionally and questioning whether she did the right thing by stopping to help, feeling as if her life was taken from her for being a good person.

We also lost insurance, so we have to pay out of pocket for the physical therapy she needs to help her walk again. Support from this fundraiser will go toward those ongoing therapy costs, along with basic bills like food, her cell phone, and maintaining her car insurance while she is unable to work. Predictable support through recurring donations would help us keep up with these continuing needs over time, and one-time donations would also mean so much.
