Hi everyone, I’m reaching out with a humble heart as a mother.
My daughter has been accepted into competitive post-secondary programs, Life Sciences (Neuroscience) at the University of Toronto and Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has worked incredibly hard for this opportunity.
She has been on the Honor Roll for all four years of high school (Grades 9–12) and has received the highest academic awards in multiple subjects throughout the years. Beyond academics, she has always been deeply involved in her school community.
For three years, she led the Environment Club. She has served on Student Council and participated in Best Buddies, Young Spiritans, SHSM Health & Wellness, and STEAM programs. She also took initiative in her school board’s International Languages program, studying Korean during her first two years.
She has been a dedicated altar server for four years and currently serves as the Toronto District Director for Chords of Care, a non-profit organization that visits nursing homes to share connection and comfort through music. In addition, she has proudly represented her school on the badminton team for four years.
As a single mother working two jobs to make ends meet, I have always done everything I can to support my children’s dreams. However, because our permanent residency status is still pending, she is required to pay international student tuition fees, a financial burden that is beyond what I can manage alone.
I am so proud of the young woman she is becoming: intelligent, compassionate, driven, and committed to serving others in healthcare.
The total tuition cost for her first year as an international student is approximately $64,000. While this is the full amount required, we have set our initial fundraising goal at $35,000 to help cover a significant portion of her tuition and secure her enrollment. We are committed to continuing to work hard and finding additional resources to cover the remaining balance.
If you feel moved to support her journey, any amount would mean so much to us. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for believing in her future.
