My 8-year-old daughter recently suffered a serious injury to her arm. She broke two bones in one arm, and it was a compound break, which means the bone broke through the skin. Because of the severity, she needs surgery to put plates and screws in place to help her bones heal properly. This has been a scary and overwhelming experience for both of us, but I am doing everything I can to make sure she gets the care she needs.

The costs of her surgery and follow-up care are adding up quickly. On top of the medical bills, I will need to take time off work to care for her during her recovery.
