My name is Skylar, and I’m raising funds for my dad and our family during one of the hardest moments of our lives.

A little over a year ago, my dad told a doctor he thought he might have prostate cancer. He was told to stop self-diagnosing and sent home. Looking back, his blood work showed abnormalities that should have been looked into further.

Last week, we learned that my dad has stage 4 prostate cancer. It has spread to his lungs and is now trying to spread to his bones. His cancer is not curable, but he is beginning treatment to slow its progression and give us as much time as possible.

We are sharing this for awareness, prayers, and support. The cost of cancer treatment, medications, and everyday expenses adds up quickly, and any help will go directly toward easing that burden.

This is only the beginning, and there’s still so much we are learning.
