My dad has always been the one behind the camera, capturing the special moments of so many families in our community. After a routine surgery on November 4th the doctor called him into the office early to discuss the pathology findings. On November 10th, he was diagnosed with Anorectal Melanoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Just a few weeks later, on December 16th, he underwent major surgery. After seeing the surgeon today, he is looking at another major surgery the first week of January. He will soon have a port put in for chemotherapy.
This diagnosis has been devastating for all of us. As an only child living seven hours away, it’s been incredibly hard to support him from afar. My dad is the last person who would ever ask for help, but right now, he needs our community more than ever. The funds raised will go directly toward his mounting medical bills and the travel expenses required for future appointments at WVU. The medical expenses are already piling up, and we are doing the best that we can.
If you are reading this, there’s a good chance that either my grandfather or my dad has taken photos of you, your family, your pets, or your loved ones. Their work has touched so many lives, and now I’m asking for your help in return. Any donation or sharing of this fundraiser would mean the world to us. Thank you for supporting my dad during this difficult time.
