Hi, my name is Skylar, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my family.

My 3-year-old brother was recently diagnosed with cancer, and it has turned our entire world upside down. To be by his side through treatment, doctor visits, and long hospital stays, my dad made the incredibly difficult decision to take a leave from his job so he can be there for his son every step of the way.

As you can imagine, this has put a huge financial strain on our family. Without a steady income, it’s becoming harder and harder to cover everyday living expenses—let alone the added costs that come with a serious illness like meals during long days at the hospital, and unpaid bills piling up.

My dad is doing everything he can to stay strong and give my little brother the love, care, and comfort he needs during this heartbreaking time. I’m asking for help to ease the burden just a little—so my dad can focus on what matters most: being there for his son without the constant stress of how he’ll keep the lights on.
