Hello, my name is Caleb Deats, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my Dad, Rick Deats, who means the world to me. He's not just my hero but also my best friend and the most incredible father anyone could hope for. His strength and love have shaped who I am today.

On Friday, June 21st, at 2:40 pm, our lives changed dramatically when my Dad had a seizure. Luckily, I was home and able to call 9-1-1 to rush him to the trauma center. After six days and five nights in the hospital, filled with numerous tests including CAT scans, MRIs, and a biopsy on my Dad's brain, we received devastating news.

My Dad has been diagnosed with a grade 4 glioma (glioblastoma), an aggressive form of brain cancer. We are now navigating the difficult road ahead, which includes starting physical therapy to address the weakness on the left side of his body, and considering options such as chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and potentially participating in clinical trials.

This news has been incredibly tough for our small family, as well as our close friends and community members who love my dad dearly.

As we face this challenging journey ahead, we are reaching out for support. Medical bills, treatments, and ongoing care are daunting, and any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to us. Your generosity will help us focus on what truly matters – supporting my Dad through his treatment and ensuring he receives the best care possible. Even a kind thought or prayer would be deeply appreciated during this difficult time. We are holding onto hope and believing in a miracle.
