Hi, my name is Nichola and I’m raising money to support my dad after a devastating diagnosis.

On 22nd January 2026, I received the worst phone call of my life. My mum told me that my dad had been diagnosed with a brain tumour. In that moment, everything felt like it stopped.

Anyone who knows my dad knows what a kind and genuine person he is. He is someone who has always been there for others, with a great sense of humour and a willingness to help anyone who needs it.

Within 13 days, he underwent a five-hour operation at the University Hospital of Wales, where surgeons were able to remove a large portion of the tumour. A biopsy was then carried out to determine the type of cancer.

On 16th February, we were told it is Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive and currently incurable form of brain cancer.

On 9th March 2026, he undergoes six weeks of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and we are also looking into possible clinical trials once this treatment is completed.

This diagnosis has changed our lives very suddenly. Because of the treatment and recovery ahead, my dad has had to stop working and focus on his health.

We are hoping to raise £X to help cover travel to hospital appointments, specialist consultations, potential clinical trials, and any treatments or support that may improve my dad’s quality of life during this time.

Alongside this page, I will also be organising fundraising events and activities, and researching every option that might help him.
