I'm a freelance writer and cartoonist who recently faced a major setback after contracting COVID over the summer. The illness took me out of commission for nearly a month, which led to missed deadlines, lost income, and extra medical expenses. I rely on a steady stream of writing assignments and cartooning projects to support myself, and this has already been a difficult year for that, but this unexpected health challenge made it difficult to keep up with basic expenses and tax debt.

As I work to recover and rebuild, I'm also preparing for an important professional opportunity: I've been invited to be a guest and presenter at several conventions (beginning with Gamehole Con in Madison, WI)—great chances to connect with fans, colleagues, and to showcase my work—but I need to cover cross-country travel costs to attend. On top of that, I'm trying to launch few new creative projects that could help me generate more reliable income, but the upfront costs are tough to manage while my regular income is unsteady.
Freelance work traditionally slows down at the end of the year, so it's crucial for me to generate enough income now to make it through to early next year. Any support will help me cover essentials, pay down tax debt, and invest in my creative future. Thank you for considering a contribution to help me move forward.
