My cousin Michelle is in need of emergency financial support. She is a modest, hard-working, sweet 60-year-old woman who often rises before dawn to drive long distances to various job sites, doing everything she can to make ends meet. If you live on the West Coast, you may have even seen her at work. Michelle is an inventory assistant (the person you'll find in 7-Elevens or Targets, counting items on fully stocked shelves and entering data into a handheld device).
Michelle's longtime boyfriend, Eddie, recently passed away, leaving her to shoulder life's growing economic pressures alone. Shortly after his passing, Michelle fell and broke her arm. Without health insurance, she has been unable to obtain medical care, and her indigent care appointments have been canceled three times in a row. She is currently unable to work, and though she has applied for unemployment, both her home and vehicle are now at risk.
There is a glimmer of hope: beginning January 2026, Michelle will have health insurance. But she needs help to get through the difficult months ahead.
I believe in community, and I believe we all face moments when we must lean on one another. Together, we have tremendous power to lift someone up during a time of hardship. Your support will not only help restore Michelle's physical and financial stability, it will also lift her spirit and reaffirm her faith in the goodness of our shared humanity.
Please consider contributing to Michelle's well-being. And if you feel comfortable, kindly share this request with friends, family, or anyone who may be willing to help.
Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.
My Best, with immense humility,
Wayne
