Support my children's book: My Friend Holy Spirit

Hi there, my name is Ashley Davison and I am the author of "My Friend Holy Spirit".

 

A little bit about me:

I am a wife (married to Dan) and mum of 2 gorgeous kids (Isla and Caleb) but also at my core I am a friend of Holy Spirit.  I have dedicated my life to loving Jesus and getting to know him, Abba Father and Holy Spirit more.
After achieving my Bachelors (BSc) degree in Psychology, I have spent my whole professional career working with children with complex physical and/or learning needs and their families to create functioning care plans and role out initiatives that promote individual and family well-being. Understanding the development of a child and the need for strong family relationships, alongside my love of God, has given me a passion to see children of all ages, backgrounds and needs, encounter God where they are at, with their family unit. I believe we, as Christians, should be at the cutting edge of innovation, and my desire is to see God's church embrace an even greater understanding of child-like faith and the power of family. 
Since getting married in 2013, my husband Dan and I have worked with Catch The Fire seeing lives transformed by encounters with God all over the world, and in our church Catch The Fire London. It has been the greatest honour seeing God perform miracles and being used to display His wonders.  It never fails to catch my breath in awe when I see Him move and witness heaven on earth.

 

The Book:

When I was pregnant with our first child, our daughter Isla, my Husband Dan, and I felt the pull on our hearts from God to be parents who always cultivate an atmosphere of intimacy and encounter with God for our Children. We wholly believe that there is no such thing as a junior Holy Spirit, and desire to see families all over the world grow in rich and deep faith journeys with their children, from small too big.

 

From this place a dream was born in my heart, from God, to create a resource for families to do exactly that, and so "My Friend Holy Spirit" came to being.

 

This book is an immersive experience of encounters with the living God. You can read it with your child on a one on one or with siblings together. It's aim is to create shared experiences with Holy Spirit together so that children can grow, from a young age, walking in the supernatural ways of God, hearing His voice, and developing a close relationship with Him.

 

Where are we up to?

I have an illustrator currently bringing to life the words and heart of the book, once that is complete, I will then be working with the amazing team at Destiny Image to publish my first book.

 

How can you help?

I need to raise funds to cover the costs of illustration, editing, publishing and printing. I am so excited to be working with Destiny Image and feel such a great connection with their team. As a first time author this is a massive step, but what I will say, is that this is the first of many books that the Lord has put in my heart.
