I need help. I may have to stop my proton radiation therapy because I am out of options for lodging in San Diego. I have very limited funds available in checking account ( balance is $4.87), and my credit cards are almost at max dealing with my cancer care. American Cancer Society has helped with 12 free nights. The rest of the nights are 45% off the room rate. I have 15 more treatments = 15 more nights in San Diego, which is 111 miles from my home. Proton radiation therapy is not offered in the Coachella Valley where I live. The facility in San Diego is covered by my insurance. (UCSD affiliated California Proton Therapy Cancer Center).

My share is a little over $100 a night at the Extended Stay America near the treatment facility in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego.

Help! I had help from a PS church, but was told today they could only cover 4 days lodging, which I have already used.
