My brother just went through a life-altering medical event. A bacterial complication, unfortunately, pushed his doctors to opt to save his life by amputating his lower limb—his right foot. Our whole life has changed since that day, but here we are, trying to navigate his road to full recovery, God willing. We don't have family in the states; it's just my brother and me, and I can't do this by myself anymore. Between medical bills, doctor appointments, and still normal living commitments, I am hitting a wall. So I have decided to reach out to all of you, all the kind hearts that I've met throughout my life, seeking any kind of help—anything big or small—to make our recovery journey a little less stressful.

My biggest concern is that my brother will need a prosthetic as he moves forward. On top of that, he also needs sight-saving eye injections that the insurance so far is not ready to cover. This is just one of the many things we desperately need to give him a fighting chance at a full recovery. Alongside the medical expenses, we’re also facing the reality of everyday costs—rent, groceries, and basic needs—that have become difficult to manage during this time. Leaving aside our daily needs for the now and the future. Dealing with the insurance so far has been an absolute nightmare. Life has changed, and my brother is priority A and priority Z.
