After losing both of our parents to cancer, this diagnosis hits us all deeply. My brother is an amazing person—someone who has always worked hard and never asks for handouts. In fact, he didn’t even want to do this fundraiser, but those who love him know he deserves to focus on healing, not on the stress of bills.
He will begin chemotherapy and radiation on April 20, 2026, and he is already in intense pain. Because of this, he expects to be out of work for a while as he focuses on treatment and recovery. His job requires him to be behind the wheel, which will be extremely difficult and dangerous during treatment. A social worker has told him he may not qualify for disability right now, because the rules require having cancer for a year. We are still looking into every option, but waiting is not something we can do—treatment is starting, and he needs help now.
Right now, the most important thing is that he can focus on fighting this disease, without the added worry of bills or lost income. Every donation, every share, every message of support becomes part of the strength that will help him get through this. He is my brother. He is about to face one of the hardest challenges of his life. He needs all the help we can give, and every bit of support matters.
