Support My Best Friend in Her Fight Against Stalking

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of my best friend and her 12-year-old daughter, who have been living in fear due to persistent stalking since 2022. This is more than a story of harassment—it’s a fight for safety and peace of mind in a situation that has become increasingly dangerous.

Despite the efforts of the Asheville Police Department, who have opened a case and connected my best friend with an FBI agent, the support from authorities has been frustratingly limited. They have made it clear that they will only take significant action when a “violent” incident occurs. As a mother, my friend is not willing to wait for that moment to come. She is determined to protect her daughter and herself from the ongoing threats they face.

Recently, we identified one of the stalkers involved, a man with a history of stalking other women in our community. This knowledge has only heightened her urgency to take action. To build a strong case and ensure their safety, my friend needs to hire a private investigator. This investigator will gather critical evidence that can be used in court and help expedite the ongoing investigation with the Asheville Police Department.
