I was a Journeyman Building Trades, Sheet Metal Local 104 Member in San Francisco until I was forced to retire early, disabled, due to a near fatal hit and run motorcycle accident.

On Oct. 22, 2012, while riding my Harley, a car swerved into my lane causing me to crash. I survived this near fatal accident and was left with life changing injuries. I became a right leg, above the knee amputee. I have nerve damage in my left arm and leg and use a wheelchair for mobility.

Golfing was a critical part of my recovery. Before my accident, I was an avid golfer and taught myself how to play. Recovery started with Wii Golf, standing with my cane and wheelchair behind me. I went to my local putting green and chipped all day to gain the confidence to play on the course.

I’ve had two hole in one’s with one-arm since becoming an adaptive golfer. My 1st one-arm hole in one was at Canyon Lakes 5th, 120 yds with an 8 Iron on July 9th, 2020.

I hit my 2nd one-arm hole in one less than two years later at Torrey Pines North Course 15th on March 20th, 2022. It was my first time ever playing either course, and both were captured on video.

After my ace at Torrey Pines, they created the Torrey Pines Adaptive Golf Championship. I was lucky enough to attend the tournament in 2024. In 2025, Southern California Golf Association held their 1st Adaptive Golf Championship, where I won the Seated Golfer division and placed top 10 overall.

I also love attending charity tournaments and supporting great causes, such as the Rider’s Cup Golf Tournament benefiting the Road 2 Recovery Foundation, helping extreme athletes with life-altering injuries.
