Again, I am seeking funding to help me continue in my activism in Sto:lo country and beyond.
Due to some forseen and unforseen events I find myself in dire financial strait, with no clear indication for income to cover the bills that have been piling up.
I, thus, find myself with no option but to appeal for donations.
Your donation will help with hydro, internet, and phone bills as well as other living expenses including food and rent.
Many of you whom I'm appealing to are aware of my work; most recently as a participant in the Freedom Flotilla's Ship to Gaza campaign, in which 22 of us where attacked in international waters by Israeli commandos and illegally detained in an Israeli prison.
My other activist activities include planning, organizing and liaison on such issues as Kinder Morgan's pipeline expansion, anti-racism, fresh water issues, renewable energy. I'm also involved in other isssues including native child care. I'm also planning and organizing a Cultural Experience Series at the Sto:lo Research and Resource Management Centre which will showcase the work of activist groups in Sto:lo country.
At 63 years old, I have developed unique skills that have served for me to play an important role in the activist scene in Sto:lo country.
