Help Me Represent West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service at the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Atlanta

This year, I’ve been given the incredible honour of travelling to Atlanta, USA, to take part in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb—an event dedicated to honouring the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives during the tragic events of September 11th. Each participant climbs 110 floors, symbolising the height of the Twin Towers, and carries the name and photograph of a fallen firefighter. It’s a deeply moving tribute and a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifice shown on that day.

I am proud to share that I will be representing West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service at this international memorial event. Taking part is not only a huge personal milestone but also a chance to stand on behalf of my colleagues, my service, and the wider firefighting community in the UK.

❤️ Why I’m Fundraising

Alongside this journey, I will also be raising money separately for two incredible organisations that support firefighters and their families:

• The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund

• The Fire Fighters Charity

However, this specific fundraising page is solely to cover the cost of my trip to Atlanta, which comes to £1,165. This includes travel, accommodation, and associated expenses required to attend the climb.

I want to make sure every donation to the charities goes directly where it’s needed most—so this page will help get me to Atlanta to take part in the memorial itself. Any extra money raised above my target will be donated to the charities listed, ensuring that every additional pound still goes toward supporting firefighters and their families.
