Madonna has already survived more than most dogs ever should. Found alone on the streets of Mexico, this sweet shepherd mix had every reason to give up—but she didn’t. From the moment she was rescued, she showed nothing but love, resilience, and a gentle spirit that instantly wins over everyone she meets.

Now, Madonna is facing her toughest challenge yet.

She has recently been diagnosed with Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT), a form of cancer. The good news—and what gives us so much hope—is that with proper treatment, there is a 90% chance of a full recovery. Madonna has every reason to keep fighting, and we are determined to fight right alongside her.

The challenge is the cost of getting her there.

Her medical care—including diagnostics, chemotherapy, and ongoing support—is expected to total around $5,000. As a rescue, we are committed to giving Madonna the life she deserves, but we can’t do it without help.

Madonna is pure love. She’s gentle, affectionate, and so ready for her second chance—a life where she’s safe, healthy, and finally cancer-free. After everything she’s been through, she deserves the chance to run, play, and just be a dog.
