Support Music Education for Ten Fe Students

Hello Family and Friends,

My name is Kristen or you might know me as Ms. Turner. I'd like to share with you an exciting opportunity that I have been given and I hope you will partner with me to take Music Time with Ms. Turner to teach music for the week of February 17 - 25, 2025 at the Ten Fe School in Santiago, Guatemala. Founded by Julie Luebbers and Señor Don Romeo Sactic in 2012, Ten Fe 's mission is to provide funding for poor children in Santiago, Guatemala so they may attend primary school. Ten Fe believes that all children deserve a chance at having a better life and a brighter future.

Through my mom, Carole Thompson, whom many may know from her ministry work leading youth teams on mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala, became friends with Julie and Julie invited a team to go with her to Guatemala to help the school with projects. Julie asked if I would come to teach music specifically for the students as they have some instruments but no one to teach them. So together, we will be embarking on this trip to impact the 120 Kindergarten to 8th grade students at the Ten Fe School.

We are asking for you to partner with us in the following ways:

By January 17th

$1500 for 2 plane tickets to Santiago, Guatemala and travel expenses related to the trip.

By February 1

$3500 to give to Julie Luebbers and the Ten Fe School to provide funding for projects needed at the school. These funds will be wired directly to them.

I will be teaching daily enrichment music classes to all grade levels as well as teaching instrumental lessons to students as they have their own marching band that participates in parades in their area. And my mom will be helping with projects with the students at the school.
