Yakima Maker Space is a community hub in Yakima where locals come together to host events and shows. Lately, we’ve noticed a need for music equipment to support both local and touring bands. Many musicians who want to perform here don’t own all of the gear they need and have to resort to borrowing other band’s equipment which is usually less than ideal. Some touring bands don’t have space to bring gear with them and similarly, have to borrow equipment from other bands. This limits the opportunities for live music and creative expression in our area.

With your support, we can purchase the essential music equipment needed to make it easier for bands to perform and to attract more touring acts to Yakima. This will help us grow our underground music scene, bring new energy to our events, and create more chances for artists to share their talents. The increased activity will also help stimulate our local economy by drawing more visitors and supporting other small businesses in the area.
