Hello! This is my cat Murphy. He’s 4 and a half years old and was diagnosed with FeLV on 5/20. He was given a poor prognosis and an estimated <6 months to live. Because this has been so sudden for me, I cannot afford to pay for his medical bills or to euthanize him when the time comes. MSU had originally quoted us 5-7 grand to hospitalize him, but with no guarantee of him getting better, so we opted to do hospice care to keep him comfortable until he tells me it’s time to go. His hospital visit to MSU yesterday was almost $600, and that’s not including the cost of his visit with his primary care vet at my job.
Murphy, as most of y'all know, is my soul cat. I got him when I was 17 from a Good Samaritan that had found him and a dog on the side of the road. He has been there for me for every moment in my adult life, and while I am devastated about his prognosis, I hope to keep him happy and comfortable for the rest of our time together.
If you’d like to donate to Murphy’s end-of-life care, it would mean the world to us. This is for his current medical bills and to properly take care of his body when he passes. Thank you ❤️⬛
