On Wednesday, July 23rd, I came home from work to find that my partner, Murdoch of 6 years, had attempted to end his own life. Thankfully, I was able to intervene, call an ambulance, and get him to a hospital where he has been held for the last week.

Unfortunately, while he has been in the hospital and unable to access his phone or attend to any personal obligations, his bank accounts were accessed and drained. He has lost over $15k. For the past year or so, Murdoch has borne the financial brunt of our lives while most of my income has been going toward trauma therapy following the death of my mother in 2024. This loss, in addition to whatever medical bills will be coming our way as a result of his hospital stay, is a huge blow for us.
