Support Murdena's swift journey to recovery and independence

My incredible mother, Murdena, has always been the rock of our family and shown incredible dedication to her community as an educator. At 70+ years young, she's still the most selfless, compassionate, and strong-willed person we know. Throughout her life, she has dedicated herself to helping others but now she needs our help.

On November 22nd, she suffered a devastating fall, breaking her hip. From where we sit, the road to recovery seems very long. Despite her age, her spirit, as well as her will to get better, remains unbroken! She urgently needs our support and we feel compelled to ensure she gets the best care possible.

My mother resides with her elderly husband in Nassau, Bahamas, where she is currently hospitalized. Due to limited resources, THE HOSPITAL HAS PLACED HER ON A WAITLIST for a surgery that should ideally be performed in the first 24-72 hours post injury. The tentative surgery date is between December 3rd and December 11th, which is over a week and potentially up to 2.5 weeks away. She is currently on strict bed rest and every day that passes is not only agonizing for her, and for our family, it also puts her at greater risk of further decline and hospital acquired complications.

That's why we have made the decision to turn to this platform for assistance to cover her transfer to another Facility in Nassau that can perform her surgery with the urgency that will optimize her recovery. Donations will also cover other medical expenses as well as her rehabilitation. Neither my sister or I currently live in Nassau so that adds an additional level of stress to an already stressful situation.

Our mother is a woman who clings very firmly to her faith. If you are not able to offer a monetary donation, please pray for her strength and a speedy recovery as she navigates the next few weeks - months.
