Our hearts are heavy as we ask for help for our sweet boy, Munchies.

A simple jump onto the bed turned into a life‑changing moment. Munchies fell on his back and severely injured his lumbar disc. Within hours, he went from being his happy, playful self to being in pain and unable to move normally. We rushed him to the emergency veterinary hospital, where we learned he needed urgent spinal surgery.

Munchies underwent a hemilaminectomy, a delicate procedure to relieve pressure on his spinal cord and give him the best chance to walk and live without pain again. Watching him go through this has been one of the hardest experiences for me and my family. He is not “just a dog.” He is our comfort after long days, our shadow around the house, our source of laughter, and a true member of our family.

While we are so grateful the surgery was successful, the emergency care, imaging, anesthesia, hospitalization, and ongoing recovery expenses have placed an unexpected financial burden on me. His healing journey will include strict rest, medications, and follow‑up visits to make sure he regains strength safely.
