Help Mujavan battle Multi-Organ Failure: A Call for Hope and Healing

Dear friends and family,

Today, I come to you with a plea to help save my beloved brother, Mujavan (loviingly called Mujju/Sonu), who is fighting for his life. My brother, at just 44 years old, is not just a loving husband and a doting father to his 7-year-old daughter, but one of the most resilient, positive souls I’ve ever known. He has always faced life’s challenges with unwavering courage, but now he is in a battle we cannot face alone.

A Journey of Strength and Struggle

Our nightmare began in 2018 when Mujavan was diagnosed with severe high blood pressure, which led to the progressive decline of his kidney function. Doctors delivered the devastating news that he would need dialysis 2-3 times a week for the rest of his life. While this was a crushing blow to our family, my brother faced it head-on, determined to live for his family and keep moving forward.

From October 2018, he started enduring dialysis sessions multiple times a week while holding down a demanding corporate job. It was physically exhausting and emotionally draining, but with the support of his company’s insurance and our family’s savings, we managed to navigate through the past six years.

A Year of Unimaginable Hardship

However, at the start of this year 2024, things took a turn for the worse. His deteriorating kidney function began to affect other organs, severely compromising his immune system. And then, the unthinkable happened — he lost his job. Without insurance, the costs of his life-sustaining treatments now being preexistent spiraled out of control, leaving him and his wife struggling to pay for medical bills while trying to keep their family afloat.

In May, he suffered a leg injury, which, due to his weakened immune system, failed to heal properly. The infection spread rapidly, resulting in septic shock. Today, he lies in the ICU, with his organs just holding up one by one. The doctors are doing everything they can, but each day brings new complications, extending his hospital stay and intensifying the cost of his treatments.

We Need Your Help

Our family and close friends have pooled together resources we have, but we are now at a point where we can no longer bear the overwhelming financial burden. We are desperate to give Mujavan a fighting chance — to provide him with the critical care he needs to survive.
