Support Muhser's Path to Recovery
Donation protected
In mid-November 2024, our 22-year-old daughter Muhser Thayousoe was taken to the ER with excruciating back pain and loss of feeling in her hands. Within hours, she could not move from the neck down and had to be placed on a ventilator to breathe. She had experienced a spinal cord injury most likely resulting from an unexpected auto-immune response. Muhser has made significant progress in the past few weeks, but we are asking for support as we continue to navigate her path to recovery, including (currently) unknown medical costs from the hospital, a rehab center which will be her next stop, and any longer-term needs as she transitions back to our home.
We are so grateful for all of the support from family and friends throughout this process so far—from prayers, to meals, hospital visits, and everything in between. And we thank you for any amount you are willing and able to contribute to this fundraiser on Muhser's behalf.
We believe $50,000 is a reasonable starting goal. However, we will provide updates as we learn more about Muhser's medical costs (and update our goal accordingly).
Psalm 84:11 (ESV)
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
